This is our 15th visit to Lochend so you know how much we love
Lochend. Victoria, Chris and Topher are always the same, helpful
happy trio and we feel like visiting our extra family when we come
here. Have done our usual visit to Loch Katrine, Forrest drive,
Bridge of Allan, Callander and Dunblane - always have to visit the
cathedral. weather mixed but we don't care as it is so9 peaceful
and relaxing watching the fishing on the lake and looking at the
changing sky. Had a very good meal at the 'Inn at Kippen', first
visit, good food and lovely staff. See you all next year and thanks
again.

Accommodation
We have three types of self-catering accommodation: wooden A-Frame chalets and lodges right beside the lake; wooden cabins just back from the lake; one large cottage, sleeping 8-10, with four en-suite bedrooms. All accommodation is set around the beautiful Lake of Menteith in the Trossachs, which is in Scotland's first National Park.
Our range of properties suits different types of gatherings, from cosy, romantic, lochside escapes with a four-poster suite, steam-bath and whirlpool, to family gatherings in our cottage, with seating for up to 10 round the handmade, elm, dining table.
All our self catering accommodation, be it three or four star, has the same quality of furnishings and attention to detail that we believe our customers deserve.
On arrival you'll find fair-trade tea, coffee, sugar with some local fresh milk and shortbread from Callander. We provide Ecover products, including washing up liquid, multi-surface cleaner, washing and dishwashing powders for 4-star lodges. Even our black bin bags are biodegradable, and each week we provide a new sponge and J-cloth, which we recycle after you've gone! We have waste recycling for glass, all plastics, cardboard, paper, tin and aluminum. All the bedding is non allergenic. All self-catering accommodation has DVD players, CD/iPod docking stations, Sony Bravia TV's, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards. We have 4 sets of cots and high chairs free of charge, and all 4-star chalets have Jacuzzi bathrooms.
We hope that we cover as many tastes and pockets as possible. We don't have a bar or restaurant on site as that would change the atmosphere which remains peaceful and relaxing - even when we are full... so our customers tell us!
