This is our 3rd visit to Lochend. Previously staying in in the
Cedar cabins which are lovely. But this time we came with my
husbands parents to celebrate their 80th birthdays. They have been
really impressed with everything. Good idea to have separate areas
(living space upstairs and downstairs - Ed.).

"A" Frame Apartment

Overview
Our three "A" frame apartments - Widgeon, Teal and Mallard
- are effectively three semi detached lodges, divided by 18"
thick, sound proofed walls. They are about 15 meters back from, and
parallel to, the shore. With spectacular views in all weathers why
leave the house! Double patio doors downstairs provide a wide
vista, with outdoor furniture on a small paved area and upstairs
the patio doors lead to a small balcony to drink in the view. Bed
linen, towels, tea towels, eco cleaning products, starter pack and
all heating and electricty is all included in the price.
An 'End of Stay Clean' for an
"A" Frame Apartment would be £40, and a 'Mid Week
Tidy' would be £18.
Kitchen
New solid oak kitchen which has a fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, electric hob and oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, scales, hand blender and all the utensils you need. Inventory available - just ask. Heating and hot water are provided by oil central heating with an electric emerson heater for hot water in summer.
Living/Dining
Open-plan living/dining with leather sofa, small flat-screen TV, CD/Radio/iPod dock and sycamore topped dining table - handmade by Chris Carroll.
Upstairs Living
Large flat-screen TV with DVD player; this room has a 3-seater sofa and a double futon sofa, so can become the 3rd bedroom.
Bedrooms
Upstairs there is a double room with en-suite and shower and downstairs twin. Beds are all made up with fresh linen for your arrival. "WIDGEON" is different in that it has one big room upstairs with a double 4 poster bed in the middle, so only sleeps 4. Very romantic!
Bathroom
The Jacuzzi bathroom is downstairs. And all 3 have an en-suite shower room upstairs, refurbished in '11/'12.
Parking
There is space for 1-2 cars at the back of each Apartment.
