Good Luck to all entering next weeks Ladies International.

Mama Duck does really well

This clever female Mallard has managed to keep a fairly big number of her ducklings - Big Arnie not responsible though! follow to see:

Beautiful morning school run.

Rural life doesn't get much better than this - the school run Lazell styleee!

Not a bad breakfast view.

Even on the greyer days at Lochend we can help but stop and marvel at the changing mood of the lake that, whilst on holiday, you can relax and watch unfold.

REUSE!
Today we will mostly be robbing bits of old lamps in order to make new ones!

Customer feedback being put into action

At the end of each season we collate the feedback forms that our customers kindly take time to fill in and one of the top 5 things requested was outside lights at the front of the Cedar Cabins - good idea; prolonging an evening sitting outside on comfy new seats (!) and now being able to see what your doing!! The wonderful Stewart Hollington is working his way through them! Not the quickest job we've discovered.

Glasgow International festival of Visual Art

On the 20th April 2012 the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art starts! Leading artists from all over the world come to Glasgow to exhibit and share ideas. There are 'peer lead' tours, for example, by students from the Glasgow School of art. Here's the web address but at the bottom when it says book a hotel - don't! Just come here instead! http://www.glasgowinternational.org/

Bird feeders for the wee speuggies!

Speuggies is the Scots word for sparrows but in our family it became the word used for all small birds. So Chris's fully recycled bird feeders (bench seats from picnic tables and turned water bowls from a silver birch that came down this year and mirror mechanics to hang them!) are NOT for ducks but for the 'Speuggies'. And this year you can buy a bag of seed for them and proper floating duck and swan food which should keep them all happy and healthy!

Chris and the feeders

The the lovely Anne Lewis came over all 'trolley dolly' and helped them to there final destination...

Osprey's return

They're Back!! And far from looking like they've just done a 4200 mile journey (imagine the petrol bill?!) they swooped in, Douglas Fraser, water baliff, spotted them first and 5 minutes later both Topher and Chris saw one take a fish in the bay! Delighted these impressive creatures have come home.

Elegant outdoor dining

So Topher with his wheeless superbike (!) has done a nice job of the tables and, with the grey rattan chairs, we think this look like an elegant outdoor dining experience waiting to happen, still with rustic charm, of course!
