Lying almost slap bang in the middle of Scotland, Lochend Chalets is an ideal base for exploring the best of Scotland – the list of things to do within a daytrip of Lochend is almost endless. Within a two-hour drive you can be walking up Ben Nevis, sipping single malt whiskies in Speyside, skiing in Glencoe, mountain-biking down a World Cup trail, or playing golf at some of the best golf courses in Britain, including St Andrews.

SEA FISHING

As well as the world-class fishing here on the Lake of Menteith, Scotland is home to some of the best fishing on the planet in Highland rivers, secluded island lochs, and all along the indented west coast

HILL WALKING

We have fantastic walking right here on our doorstep, but we’re also no more than 90 minutes from the hiker’s heaven that is Glencoe, and only two hours from the foot of Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest peak

LINKS GOLF

We have some amazing golf courses on our doorstep. Ryder Cup venue Gleneagles and Loch Lomond’s The Carrick are both within a 40 min drive. Being centrally located you can access many world class courses
