Here we have our new UE bluetooth speakers, small but perfectly formed and great sound.
Hello customers ‘old’ rather than ‘new’, we have finally done it…the ‘”A” Frame Apartments’ have been renamed, they are now…more descriptively…’The Waterfront Lodges’. Single house names remain the same; ‘Widgeon’, ‘Teal’ and ‘Mallard’.
‘Go large’ in Teal with this new king sized bed made from Lochend Oak and created by Chris Carroll who knows a thing or two about wood! The Airds, who have been visiting for about the same time as the oak was seasoned, 16 years(!) are the first recipients – here’s hoping they like the […]
We have customers arriving today who have a small baby and so, as all parents will know, a good nights sleep is an important factor and I happened to mention that we were thinking of replacing all the double beds in the 4 star chalets with king-sized beds. ‘That sounds good’…’leave it with me’ says I! The last of this seasons changes in Mallard! But it now has new patio curtains with birdies and bird boxes on it and, keeping with the wildlife theme going, Farrow and Ball’s ‘Dead Salmon’ colour on the walls!

And, in the twin room I have made, out of fully recycled materials, some headboards. New curtains for upstairs will be hung when […]
Even on the greyer days at Lochend we can help but stop and marvel at the changing mood of the lake that, whilst on holiday, you can relax and watch unfold.
So Topher with his wheeless superbike (!) has done a nice job of the tables and, with the grey rattan chairs, we think this look like an elegant outdoor dining experience waiting to happen, still with rustic charm, of course!
We have some new comfy outdoor chairs for the Cedars – to catch the September sunshine.
