Meet Ernest, a wild Mallard cross with a Magpie duck. Storm Barbara must have blown him (her?) off course and Lochend is a happy haven for ducks. Larry and Lavina are proper chums now with the ‘wild’ boys and girls are extending the Lochend Welcome which is so important to us!
We are upping the luxury in the Lux A lodge kitchens. We continue to add to ‘Osprey’ and ‘Heron’ and this week it’s the kitchen goodies that are getting us excited! What a view to prep your dinner from….

A few weeks ago we found a rather lovely looking pair of ducks who were jostling for food in amongst the Mallards, after a Facebook plea, the fabulously knowledgable Andrew MacGillivray (see you in a couple of weeks!) was able to tell us that they are Lavender Calling Ducks.
