LOG CABINS WITH BATHS & OVERHEAD SHOWERS
There are 3 cabins with baths and overhead showers:
Cabin 1
Cabin 2
“Cosy log cabins beside the Lake of Menteith”
We have 10 Log Cabins forming a pretty crescent parallel to the shore, roughly 75 meters back from the water. This ensures that once in your cabin, the view from the large, glass sliding-doors is filled entirely with lawn, trees and lake – rather than the back of another cabin.
All Log Cabins are separated by a trellis and flower beds around a paved patio with outdoor seating – perfect for that first cup of coffee as the sun hits the lake, or for long summer evenings watching the sun sink over the Menteith Hills.
All Log Cabins have views from the kitchen towards the lake, and are supplied with a full-sized cooker with hob grill and oven, a fridge with freezer box, a microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, scales, and all the utensils you need.
The living/dining area in the Log Cabins is all open-plan, with 2 seater sofas, large flat-screen TV, DVD player, Anker Bluetooth speaker and electric stove heater. Dining tables are right beside large, glass sliding doors, with some of the best breakfast views of any holiday accommodation in the Trossachs!
All Log Cabins sleep 4 in a double room and a twin room. If you need to squeeze a small one in, give us a call and we can put in a fold-down bed.
Beds are made up with fresh linen for your arrival.
Log Cabins all have a shower/bath with curved glass screen and Power Shower. No.10 has a walk-in shower and no bath.
There is space for 1 car at the back of each Log Cabin.
Our Log Cabins share a communal laundry, situated beside the washing line at the back of the Games Room. There is no charge for using the washers and driers, but we have a donation box for the ‘Our Park’ charity. Our sponsorship with Kutaifa and her community came to an end and we decided that the local work that ‘The Friends of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs’ do was very important in keeping this area beautiful and balanced for all our visitors.
All electricity, bed linen, towels, tea towels, eco cleaning products, starter pack is all included in the price of your stay. Also on arrival, you will find fair-trade tea, coffee and sugar in your accommodation, as well as salt, pepper, milk and Tunnock’s teacakes and wafers.
Everything in the Log Cabins runs on electricity, which is now included.
An optional ‘End of Stay Clean’ for a Log Cabin costs £30. However this is not available during our pandemic cleaning protocols.
1 double with kingsize duvet, 1 twin; 1 shower/bath; dishwasher, washer/dryer; Freeview, DVD-player, Anker bluetooth speaker; free Wifi; patio furniture. Bed linen and towels included; limited cots and high-chairs free on request.
We have just enjoyed an amazing weekend, 6 sisters spending time together instead of buying each other b'day gifts throughout the year. The Cormorant is stunning. Beautifully decorated with lots of luxurious touches and stunning views from every angle. We instantly felt able to relax and enjoy the accommodation and hot tub. Dinner at Nick Nairn's restaurant was the icing on the cake, delicious food in a wonderful setting with a great gift shop, only a short walk away.
The weather was a bit more variable this time but did not stop us getting out and about. We did our usual range of activities while there - a cycle along the excellent and scenic cycle path along Loch Venacher with a stop-off for a coffee and superb scone at the Brig O Turk tearoom halfway. A walk to the Brackinn Falls in Callendar then up the glen path to the Scout Pool and back down. And 3 paddle board sessions directly from the chalets on Lake of Menteith. On the early morning outing there were geese taking off, divers dookin for fish and fish jumping out the water. You can visit and land on Inchmahome (entry fee required). The new jetty is a welcome addition - I have never paddle boarded before - getting on and off - without even getting my feet wet!!
Lochend is owned and run by the Nairn family who have very strong commitment to ecological issues and recycling which is clear in how they operate. The 20+ ducks who come looking for food as soon as you open your door gives you an added sense of being close to nature!
Also having brother’s (Nick Nairn) restaurant and cook school on site is a real bonus and once again we had our dinner there on Saturday night. Food and staff always excellent and the discount for chalet guests a nice bonus.
It has been and will continue to be a favourite place of our for a peaceful break in a perfect setting.

We came back after nine years and it is still as lovely as it was then. There are 10 chalets with 2 bedrooms, very cosy, well-equipped with a little porch and BBQs. You have a wonderful view of the lake and it is very peacefull. I went swimming once despite the cold. The hosts are really friendly and helpful and there are a lot of things to do nearby, noteably Inchmahome Priory, only about 5 minutes'drive away.
I am sure we will come again.

A first visit but will not be the last. We stayed in Osprey Lodge right on the Lake and what an amazing spot and the view was to die for especially from the hot tub. All the staff on site were so nice and helpful. Th accommodation was spotless and very well furnished and equipped. The added bonus of having a first class restaurant, Nicks, on site was excellent.
Lochend chalets made a friends reunion extra special because of its perfect location and beautiful surroundings. The hosts made us all very welcome, and our chalet fully equipped and beautifully decorated
We booked the “Widgeon and Nest” as a family get together to celebrate my husband and I’s anniversary. We took our children aged between 5 and 22.
We followed the directions online and it was very easy to find. Great communication with the hosts on lead up to our stay.
Driving through the grounds were absolutely beautiful as we are heading into autumn.
The young girl on reception was lovely when we arrived slightly ahead of schedule and directed us to our accommodation.
We were totally blown away by the accommodations itself. Beautiful, clean, spacious, modern and with everything needed for our group.
Each room had its own advantages/quirks so no fighting over who stayed where - ha!
THE VIEWS!!! Absolutely stunning, especially waking up in the nest and watching the scenery change or sitting on the decking in the morning.
We booked Lochend chalets because as a family we love being in or on the water and also wanted to do some hiking.
We had a mixture of weather and it was so great to have a hot tub/ hot shower or the sauna a stones throw away from the lake.
Strangely one of the family’s favourite parts of the accommodation was the outdoor changing facility- if you go, you’ll know! Oh yes, and the ducks!! My 5 year old particularly loved them.
Games room and park were fun additions too.
The host was never far away if we needed help - and gave me some great tips for going out on the lake - but wasn’t intrusive at all.
The fishery isn’t far so we did get the boats pretty close to the accommodation and a couple of men walking past the front but we chatted with a few of them, it didn’t bother us and we like seeing everyone enjoying the outdoors.
We had one night where the weather was beautiful right through and we had our fire pit s’mores and a hand fasting celebration to mark our anniversary. The place couldn’t have been more perfect for it.
On leaving we forgot a couple of small items, when they called to tell me, we were already too far away and said they would send me them.
They arrived at my house less than 24 hours later! what service!
Value for money on facility and location, I don’t think you could get a place to match this.
Would love to return

We were back at Lochend once again for the September long weekend. We were in a Log Cabin again but got a tour of the new chalet which is stunning - will need to round up the extended family and make a return visit. However all the accommodation is homely, well equipped and comfortable and the staff do go out their way to make you feel at home. A full tv package is a new thing I think (or else we have just not needed it before). The weather was a bit more variable this time but did not stop us getting out and about. Where do I start. From the very beginning we had a very warm welcome. The chalet was beautiful. Nicely decorated and has everything that you could wish for. The view was amazing and it was so peaceful. Best nights sleep we have had for ages. We were very impressed. so much so that we will be booking again for next year.To end our stay on the last night we had a gorgeous meal at NICK s restaurant .
Looking forward already to next year.
Thank you so much.

This was our second visit to Lochend Chalets this year. The first one, in June, was wonderful, so my wife and I booked another one, but for a longer time at eleven nights. It was lovely to be back in a homely, comfortable chalet with delightful scenery all around us.
A bonus is that no pets are allowed here, which is a good idea as there is lots of wildlife around and I would not like to see it scared away.

We LOVE Lochend Chalets! Unbelievable location directly on the lake shore, the accommodation is beautifully kitted out and is ideal for family holidays/celebrstions. Stargazing was particularly good this year!
