Of course ‘the last ice float’ is what we are hoping(!) all the bouys marking shallow water around the lake have ended up in our bay, and the edges of the ice are filled with reeds and all that the ice has dredged up, and is depositing it at the mouth of the Goodie burn, but today is crisp and clear and gorgeous.
Yesterday – not so nice and poor wee Cormorant lost his mammy…we won’t be calling him that when he’s big and piercing fish just for the sake of it! But he was looking a bit bedraggled.
