The Largs Viking Festival
This Annual Festival marks the 1263 Battle of Largs, the last mainland battle between the Scots and Norse. The living history Viking Village is open to the public so that they can get a glimpse of what life would have been like in a 13th Century Viking Village.

Bloody Scotland Festival @ various days and dates
This festival of crime writing and writers grows in strength every year. From a torch light procession and awards to workshops and writers talks it’s really where all of the great Scottish (and further afield) crime writers gather for 2 days.
