NIGHT SKIES AT LOCHEND CHALETS

We have been star gazing at Lochend all of our lives. It's something we, our children, and our guests love to do. While we do not have dark skies status (too near the big cities) we still have wonderfully unpolluted skies. On a clear night we have just the most phenomenal array of stars, including seeing the milky-way. Even the moon views are spectacular from our lake shores.

At certain times of the year photographers are able to capture that amazing phenomena, the Aurora Borealis, which is most sought after on holidays to Iceland. We can also see the Northern lights from the shores of the lake at Lochend.
