A LOVE STORY FOR LIFE
36 years ago a girl asked a boy to marry her. What started as a blind date to see the Drifters in concert at a local club soon blossomed into true love – much against the predictions of everyone who knew them!
Within 3 months of that first date, they both knew they had found the loves of their lives, and since 1988 was a leap year, Alison decided to surprise David with a beautiful ring and a wedding proposal!
In the years that followed, the happy couple and their two children have been regular visitors to Lochend Chalets - sometimes 2 or 3 times a year!
LOVE AT LOCHEND
Fast forward to 2022, when Alison, David, their daughter Beth and her boyfriend Jake came to stay in Cormorant Lodge at Lochend. Jake had packed a little something extra in this travel bag, and after a romantic meal, proposed to his true love right here on the shores of Lake Menteith in front of Cormorant Lodge (sighhhhh)!
Beth said ‘YES’ and this happy couple will soon be making their own new memories at Lochend Chalets – starting with their honeymoon later this year. We can’t wait to welcome them!
(Of course, Alison and David were peeping through the curtains to witness the beautiful proposal and, this year, decided to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary with 3 week stay here at Lochend Chalets)!
This well-travelled couple insist that no other place on earth lifts the weight off their shoulders like a stay at Lochend. We tend to agree 😊.
